art's the thing

Recently I have been painting figurative paintings from images of my trips to Italy. Each painting is a memory of a touching moment I feel so lucky to have enjoyed. One has found a new home with a collector who also found something worthy in the image. One is at the SAAG Gallery…and the last is on my easel, due to become part of a series.

It’s been a great year. 12 months of showing my art at Southern Arizona Arts Guild Gallery in Tucson. I’m so glad that many of my original oils and giclees have found new homes!

My fellow painters at Semanick Studio Painters have had to say our final goodbyes to our dear friend and mentor, Brenda Semanick. But she is still ever present in my thoughts daily...I can often hear her guiding me gently about my art or nagging me about something that needs to be corrected. Thank you, Brenda, for all of it!

Bright Angel Trailhead 12x16 oil $450

I have been busy painting and studying with fabulous artists ( Bill Cramer, Linda Ahearn, Russ Recchion, Dennis Perrin, Max Ginsburg, & more!) Always striving to create better, looser and cleaner paintings!

always...”Miles on the Brush!”
